Meet the Owner | Marissa Hann

Sewing was my favourite class in high school. After graduation, I continued making Halloween costumes and altering clothes for myself, but life got busy and sewing became more of a hobby.

In 2012, I began working at my parents’ business, Kwala-T Cleaners. While I mainly worked with customers, I also helped the seamstresses whenever I could. In 2013, my parents hired Jay, a tailor who had owned his own shop in India. He became an incredible mentor. He encouraged me to try new things, learn from mistakes, and build confidence in my skills.

When our longtime seamstress was ready to retire in 2021, we struggled to find a replacement. That’s when I stepped fully into the role. I dedicated myself to improving every day, taking on more complex alterations and continually refining my craft. Over time, I built the experience and confidence to handle a wide range of garment repairs and formalwear alterations.

In 2023, when my parents decided to sell Kwala-T Cleaners, I chose to open Revive Garment Care. We partnered with Busy Bee Cleaners to ensure Moose Jaw would continue to have access to professional dry cleaning services.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities my parents gave me and thankful to continue working alongside my mom every day. Revive Garment Care is built on family support, hard work, and a commitment to serving our community.
